PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent trouble due to a rat hole or the like. SOLUTION: Fly ash stored in a plurality of hoppers is carried out by an air conveyor by carrying out sequence control. In the sequence control, a threshold time is set on the basis of an effective required time during normal fly ash carrying out, pressure fluctuation occurring within the threshold time is determined as an abnormal situation due to a rat hole or the like and it is coped with to resolve it, and pressure fluctuation occurring after passage of the time is determined to be due to fly ash carrying out completion and next operation is carried out. A rat hole or the like is quickly detected to eliminate it while the phenomenon is light, development into trouble wherein residual fly ash is fixed and becomes an obstacle to carrying out is prevented, and stable carrying out of the fly ash becomes possible.
