PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of searching a lost cellular phone which is low in searching cost and can be actually embodied. SOLUTION: A method of searching the lost cellular phone in a cellular phone system provided with cellular phones and base stations has an information transmitting step in which the lost cellular phone transmits information to a base station, a searching step in which the base station searches to confirm whether or not the cellular phone is the lost cellular phone on the basis of the information received through the information transmitting step, an output lowering step for lowering radio output which the base station is transmitting to the cellular phone if it is clarified that the corresponding cellular phone is the lost cellular phone in the searching step, and an identification information changing step of changing the identification information of the base station being currently transmitted by the base station to the cellula telephone if it is clarified that the corresponding cellular phone is the lose cellular phone in the searching step.
