PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchange element for securing the strength of the whole heat exchange element, forming a flow passage of ventilation air, easy in manufacturing, and superior in heat exchange efficiency. SOLUTION: This heat exchange element is composed of a plurality of heat exchange membranes 1 juxtaposed at equal intervals, and a spacer 2 fixed between the respective heat exchange membranes 1 and maintaining the interval between the mutual heat exchange membranes 1. The spacer 2 has a plurality of strips formed by respectively laminating, solidifying and adhering hot melt beads 21a in a stage shape. The hot melt beads 21a are desirably composed of foaming resins. The heat exchange membranes 1 are desirably formed by fixing hydrophilic organic high polymer films. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
