<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounted piezoelectric vibrator in which the quality is stabilized by detecting defective conduction caused by cracking of a lead. <P>SOLUTION: In the process for manufacturing a surface mounted piezoelectric vibrator comprising a tubular piezoelectric vibrator formed by holding an oscillation piece in an airtight terminal having a lead terminal and by sealing with a tubular sealing tube, a lead frame conducting electrically with the lead terminal and being connected with an external electrode, and mold resin covering the tubular piezoelectric vibrator, the lead terminal is connected with the lead frame and then electrical conduction is measured between them while applying a constant pressure to the lead frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
