An interchangeable tab system (410) for dividing an internal compartment (120) of an organizer (10) including a section divider (132) and an index card (140). The section divider (132) includes a first panel (134) and a second panel (136) defining a card receiving slot (138). The index card (140) adapted to fit in the card receiving slot (138) including indicia (152). The card receiving slot (138) and the index card (140) may be constructed to span across an entire length (L) of the internal compartment (120) of the organizer (10) and/or may be shorter in dimension than a height (H) or a length (L) of the second panel (136) of the section divider (132). Alternatively, a plurality of narrow card receiving slots (138a) may be vertically defined across the length (L) of the section divider (132), each having an opening formed in an upper end of the section divider (132) that is adapted to receive smaller index cards (140a, 140b).
