<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reader in which a photometric area in an caught image is not easily protruded from an area corresponding to a medium in the image, and to provide electronic equipment, a parameter adjusting method and a parameter adjustment program. <P>SOLUTION: A portable terminal 10 with a camera is provided with a graphic code decoding part 13 for decoding a graphic code included in an image, and an exposure control part 15 for adjusting a parameter relating to the brightness of a digital image of an image picking-up part 11. The exposure control part 15 sets an initial area for initial photometry as a photometric area, adjusts a parameter relating to the exposure of the image picking-up part 11 on the basis of the brightness of the initial area, determines the result and adopts the initial area as a photometric area according to the determination result, or sets a second photometric area obtained by changing the size of the initial area, adjusts the parameter relating to the exposure of the image picking-up part 11 on the basis of the brightness of the second area and repeatedly controls the determination of the result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
