<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque control device for a belt type continuously variable transmission, in which driving performance of a vehicle is secured even where a secondary pulley rotation sensor has failed. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission controller 12 gives an instruction of demand torque for the engine to an engine controller 19 based on real secondary pulley pressure detected by the secondary pulley rotation sensor 14 when a vehicle speed is 0km/h, as a speed change ratio more than prescribed is continued for first prescribed time or more (time t3). Even in a case where the secondary pulley rotation sensor 14 has failed, the input torque in accordance with the real secondary pulley pressure generated is inputted to a primary pulley 2, thereby driving performance of the vehicle is secured. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
