A disk cartridge has a cartridge body (2) constituted of a lower shell (7) and an upper shell (6); a rotation wheel (4) pivotally received in the cartridge body and in which an optical disk (3) is received; a pair of shutter plates (5a, 5b) positioned between the lower shell (7) and the rotation wheel (4), and opening a first opening (24) and a second opening (44) in conjunction with the pivoting of the rotation wheel (4). The second shutter plate (5b) is pivotally attached to the first shutter plate (5a) by a supporting shaft (62a) inserted into a shaft hole (54) provided in the first shutter plate (5a). Locking sections (62e, 62f) having larger diameters than the shaft hole (54) are provided at the head section of the supporting shaft (62a), and this prevents the supporting shaft (62a) from coming off from the shaft hole (54) with the second shutter plate (5b) attached to the first shutter plate (5a). As a result, the second shutter plate is less likely to come off from the supporting shaft of the first shutter plate even if the cartridge is subjected to impact.
