<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize good interpolation for a frame image including an image having a thin linear outline angled to an image line by a predetermined angle for improvement in image quality of an image processing device. <P>SOLUTION: This image processing device includes a pixel information maintaining part 5, a reference pixel information extraction part 1, a correlation computing part 2 for computing a correlation value on the basis of information about a correlation computing pixel group pair, an interpolation reference pixel group pair selection part 3 for selecting a correlation computing pixel group pair having the highest correlation on the basis of the correlation value, and an interpolation part 4 for generating information about an interpolation objective pixel on the basis of the information about the pixel group pair in specific positions to the correlation computing pixel group pairs having the highest correlation. The reference pixel information extraction part 1 set a first pixel group consisting of a plurality of pixels and a second pixel group, which consists of a plurality of pixels arranged equally to the first pixel group and includes pixels symmetric with respect to a point to a pixel in a specific position inside the first pixel group and an interpolation object pixel in the specific positions relatively equivalent to the specific position inside the first pixel group, as a correlation computing pixel pair and extracts information about it from the pixel information maintaining part 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
