PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle and a control method of ozone generation amount of the air conditioner for the vehicle that increase upper limit ozone generation amount while securing the safety and sterilize the inside of the air conditioner for the vehicle . SOLUTION: In the air conditioner for the vehicle, wind speed of the air-conditioning air is detected, and the voltage applied to an ozone generating means is increased or decreased based on the wind speed. In the air conditioner for the vehicle, selection of a blow-off mode or a blow-off port is detected, and the voltage applied to the ozone generating means is increased or decreased based on the selection of the blow-off mode or the blow-off port.
