PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber, a method for making the fiber, and a product including the fiber. SOLUTION: The bleached polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber including a polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber treated with a bleaching agent, and the method for making the fiber are provided. Preferably, the fiber has a whiteness degree larger than that of a polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber not treated with the bleaching agent, and the bleaching agent contains hydrogen peroxide. The absorbent product includes the bleached polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber, and the bleached polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber includes the polyacrylic acid crosslinked cellulosic fiber bleached with the bleaching agent.
