<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized light source apparatus, being a light source apparatus using a solid light source element, particularly, suitable for a projector, and to provide a projector equipped with the light source apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a reflector 101 having a prescribed focus (f), for reflecting incident light, and an LED 102 having a planar light emitting area S1, arranged on the position of the focus (f), and the reflector 101 is arranged on at least one side of the planer light emitting area S1 of the LED 102 while facing the planer light emitting area S1, and the reflector 101 includes a parabolic shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
