<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an image to be easily modified by giving individualities to the image and to enable a user, to view and enjoy how an actually photographed image is modified by simply and quickly giving individualities. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus provided with an imaging function includes an imaging unit. For example, after a facial picture is taken, an individuality data selection menu 106 for giving individualities to the facial picture is displayed. A plurality of individualities expressed by, for example, words are displayed on the individuality data selection menu 106. The user selects an individuality to be given to the facial picture, by words. The facial picture is modified, on the basis of a picture modification pattern 108, corresponding to selected individuality data. In picture modification pattern data, relative increments/decrements to color data (RGB) for each pixel of the facial picture are set.
