<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage to a membrane electrode structural body and a solid polymer electrolyte film in a fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: In the fuel cell provided with a membrane electrode structural body made by pinching a solid polymer electrolyte film with an anode electrode and a cathode electrode, fuel flow channels 58a to 58g in front of the anode electrode, and an air flow channel in front of the cathode electrode, the fuel flow channels 58a to 58g are equipped with folded parts 62, and a flow channel cross section area of a region A at the downstream side of the folded part 62 in the fuel flow channel 58g is made smaller than that at the other region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
