PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device for food or drink container of improved type allowing operation in good feeling. SOLUTION: A cover 7 is borne at a housing 2 movably by a revolving shaft 8, and in the open position OT to release the housing opening 3, the cover 7 is loaded by a closing force (Arrow 31) in the direction to the closing position to close the opening 3, and a lever 21 borne movably at the housing 2 has a shutoff projection 26, which holds the cover 7 in the open position OT until a holding element 9 in the service position GT moves to the rest position.
