PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize coding processing efficiently corresponding to each function while minimizing the amount of use of a memory, in an image processing apparatus having many image processing functions. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is a data processing apparatus for processing data in the unit of pages and includes: a data reception section for receiving data with a first format in the unit of pages; a data conversion section for converting the data with the first format into data with a second format; a page data management section for managing the data with the first and second formats as first and second page data in cross-reference with each other; and a control section that monitors a storage state of the data with the first format to the memory, permits starting a data conversion operation from the data with the first format into the data with the second format by the data conversion section when discriminating the end of storage, and permits prescribed processing depending on the end of the conversion and the storage state of the data with the second format to the memory.
