PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of reducing control load on a mobile terminal by suppressing increase in traffic at the time of transmitting to a specific mobile terminal in a wireless communication network where a large number of mobile terminals exist. SOLUTION: A gateway server receives a broadcast packet including the MAC address unique to a mobile terminal from the mobile terminal through an access server, and stores the MAC address in its storage section while associating with the IP address of a source access server (i.e. relaying the broadcast packet). Upon receiving data together with the MAC address, the gateway server specifies an access server connected with a wireless LAN access point where a destination mobile terminal specified by the MAC address exists in a communication region among a plurality of access servers, and transmits a packet including the data only to that wireless LAN access point.
