<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a positioning mechanism of a photoreceptor drum unit, which prevents a photoreceptor drum from being bent or distorted with simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus where the photoreceptor drum unit 2 where the photoreceptor drum 21 is turnably disposed is detachably disposed in an apparatus body and which is equipped with a positioning part 9 for positioning the unit 2 in the apparatus body, is equipped with a drum shaft 82 which is disposed along the center shaft of the drum 21 in the longitudinal direction thereof and whose both ends are supported by the frame 20 of the unit 2, and a bearing 92 disposed in the main frame 14 of the apparatus body so as to be fit to one end of the drum shaft 82 projecting from the side surface of the unit 2.
