PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar shading device for a window capable of stopping a screen in a desired lifted position to optionally set the shaded area of the window, moving the lower end of the screen by a desired distance in the longitudinal direction of the window in the stop position of the screen to ventilate a space between the screen and the window, and preventing the infiltration of rain by functioning as a hood in rainy weather. SOLUTION: This solar shading device for the window is provided with a roll screen 3 installed at the upper part of the window 1 on the outdoor side of the window 1, with its upper end fixed to a winding shaft 7 energized by a winding direction by an energizing means, and constituted to pull out the screen 6 from the winding shaft 7 by pulling the lower end down from the winding shaft 7. Guide rails 12 are vertically provided on both outdoor sides of the window 1. A lateral pair of simultaneously moving sliders 13 lifted along the guide rails 12 to vertically move the screen 6 are provided at the guide rails 12 so as to be stoppable in the desired lifted position by a stopper.
