<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation device allowing prompt discrimination of failure of a power generation module. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation device is equipped with a fuel holding means 31 holding fuel for power generation, a power generation means 30 generating electric power with fuel for power generation, a fuel residual quantity detecting means 43 detecting the remaining amount of fuel held in the fuel holding means 31, a generated power amount detecting means 46 detecting the generated power amount of the power generation means 30, a corresponding table holding correspondence of the fuel residual quantity to the generated power amount in case where the power generation means is normal, and a first control means detecting whether the power generation means is normal or failure based on the fuel residual quantity, the generated power amount, and the corresponding table. The first control means detects the failure of the power generation means when the detected power generation amount to the detected fuel residual quantity is smaller than the power generation amount to the residual quantity of the corresponding table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
