摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction type workpiece carrying apparatus which can continue the carrying work even when the shape and posture of a workpiece may affect the suction by vacuum pads. SOLUTION: The suction type workpiece carrying apparatus is provided with a determination means 38 for judging quality of the close contact property of the vacuum pads 15a to 15c when a required workpiece is taken out from a plurality of workpieces 2a to 2d, 3a to 3d by sucking the required workpiece by means of the vacuum pads 15a to 15c. When it is determined that the close contact property is not good, the taking-out operation of the workpiece by means of the vacuum pads 15a to 15c is temporally stopped. After the posture of the vacuum pads 15a to 15c has been adjusted to a definite reference posture, the vacuum pads 15a to 15c are reset to the taking-out operation of the workpiece by a resetting means 38. By this configuration, the carrying work can be continued without stopping the work for carrying the workpieces, for example, even when the close contact property of the vacuum pads 15a to 15c has got worse.
