<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device that makes it possible to automatically switch a plurality of operation modes according to periods of time. <P>SOLUTION: An operational mode control program 200 is for executing control over the switching of the operation modes. A user interface part 201 sets the period of time associated with the operation modes. A time acquiring part 202 periodically acquires system times from the internal timepiece part 101 of an operating system 100 and hands the system times over to an operation mode switching part 203.
