PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope for which the diameter of an insertion part can be narrowed by mounting a plurality of balloons in the peripheral direction of the insertion part and providing a curve structure for individually expanding and contracting the plurality of balloons. SOLUTION: The endoscope 10 is provided with a flexible insertion part 12 and four first balloons 42a-42d are mounted on the distal end outer peripheral surface of the insertion part 12. The first balloons 42a-42d are arranged at equal intervals in the peripheral direction of the insertion part 12 and individually expanded and contracted by a balloon controller 66.
