PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable telephone incorporating a manual power generation mechanism capable of charging a battery, i.e. an operation power supply, by manual operation in which an operator for making the incorporated manual power generation mechanism to generate power is contained integrally without projecting from a case of a portable telephone. SOLUTION: One end of an arm-like operator 102 is fixed to the end of a rotary shaft 101 supported rotatably on a case of a portable telephone 100. A manual power generation mechanism for generating power when the rotary shaft 101 is rotated by imparting a rotational operation to the operator 102 and charging a battery 103, i.e. an operation power supply, is incorporated. A handle 105 is provided at the other end of the operator 102.
