Shell for a cylindrical hollow body (1) comprises an outer shell (3) and a concentrically arranged inner shell (4). The inner shell has at least three segments (5), and a wedge (6) arranged between two adjacent segments. The wedge is connected to an adjusting mechanism that displaces the wedge into the position of use and pulls it back during removal of the shell. The adjusting mechanism has a rod (8) that can be displaced in the axial direction and is provided with radially-protruding brackets (9) or projections that overlap the wedges or holding brackets (10) arranged on the wedges. In the overlapping region, a fixed projection is arranged on the bracket, an angled slot on the wedge or its holding bracket, an angled slot on the bracket with the adjustable rod, or a fixed projection on the holding bracket or the wedge. The protrusion engages in the slot. Preferred Features: The adjusting mechanism acts simultaneously on every wedge. |
