The invention relates to a lighting component 1. Component 1 has an elongate translucent tube 2 having sealed ends 3,4. At least one illuminatable bulb 5 is provided in the tube 2. A waterproof electrical assembly in the form of plug 4 connects the or each bulb to a supply of electricity through one of said sealed ends. Bulb 5 may be powered through a rectifier 7 and inverter 8. The invention also extends to a lighting product incorporating the lighting component. |
