<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a shock wave simultaneously and highly precisely converging to the object even in media which have transmitting speeds are different with places in a shockwave generator. <P>SOLUTION: The shape of the surface irradiated with the pulse laser light of a shockwave generate body 5 can be changed, an irradiation surface shape control section 14 adjusts to control the shape of the pulse laser light irradiation surface of the shockwave generator 5. Therefore, it becomes possible to generate the shockwave of a wave surface shape corresponding to the change of the pulse laser light irradiation surface, by the irradiation surface shape control section 14 changing the pulse laser light irradiation surface.
