PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air flow measuring instrument and an air flow measuring method capable of measuring stably and accurately an air flow volume over a long period, and capable of restraining a pressure loss from being generated. SOLUTION: The air flow volume of a blower 14 is measured to regulate the air flow volume by controlling an operation frequency of a motor 15. A duct is attached to at least one of a suction port or a delivery port in the blower 14. A current value I supplied to the motor 15 and the operation frequency F of the motor 15 are measured by a computing part 2, and the air flow volume Q of air flowing in the duct by the blower 14 is calculated based on the measured current value I and operation frequency F.
