PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an A/D converter by which reliable A/D conversion data can be obtained, even if noise is made in an A/D conversion reference voltage, without much increasing the size of circuitry. SOLUTION: The A/D converter is provided with a noise detection circuit 11, which generates a noise detection signal 14 when it detects noise in an A/D conversion reference voltage Vref, an A/D operation control circuit 14 which generates a bit shift signal 16, in response to the noise detection signal 14; and an A/D conversion module 17, which discards A/D conversion result bits affected by the noise in response to the bit shift signal 16, holds the remaining A/D conversion result bits and restarts A/D conversion with the discarded A/D conversion result bits.
