<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform loading without damaging a magnetic tape in a recording/reproducing device for recording/reproducing data to/from a detachable tape magnetic recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with a magnetic tape winding means 41 for pulling out a magnetic tape 2 from a tape cassette by a plurality of pull-out posts 22 and 23 and winding the pulled-out magnetic tape 2 on a drum 3 having a recording and/or reproducing head mounted thereon according to a predetermined tape path when the tape cassette having the magnetic tape 2 to be wound from a supply side reel to a take-up side reel is loaded, and a driving control means 42 for driving and controlling the drum 3 so as to be rotary-driven in a predetermined direction at a predetermined speed.
