<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved mixture for a gasket for fuel cell seal. <P>SOLUTION: An elastomer precursor for a gasket obtained by mixing fluoroelastomer particulate, a curing agent, and a metallic oxide reduction agent are optionally admixed with any of microspheres, inert particulate, PTFE particles. In one embodiment, the composition is applied to a substrate and cured to provide a fuel cell gasket.
