PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shuttle of a sewing machine which has a length dimension large enough to store bobbin thread. SOLUTION: In a bobbin case 14, a peripheral wall 27 is formed only in a sector which is shifted from the peripheral wall 22 of a shuttle hook 13 in a periphery direction and in an axis orientation. Therefore, even if the outside diameter of the peripheral wall 27 of the bobbin case 14 is not under the inside diameter of peripheral wall 22 of the shuttle hook 13, intervention with the peripheral wall 22 of the shuttle hook 13 and the peripheral wall 27 of the bobbin case 14 is prevented and the outside diameter and inside diameter of the bobbin case 14 can be enlarged. By this, the inside diameter of the peripheral wall 27 of the bobbin case 14 can be almost the same as the inside diameter of the peripheral wall 22 of the shuttle hook 13, the storage space of a bobbin can be enlarged, and the linear dimension of the bobbin thread enough to be stored can be enlarged.
