PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an (meth)acrylic acid ester having a lactone skeleton, capable of industrially advantageously producing the ester in a good yield. SOLUTION: This method for producing the lactone skeleton-containing (meth)acrylic acid ester comprises conducting esterification reaction of a lactone skeleton-containing alcohol with (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of an acid catalyst and an entrainer at a temperature of 20-110°C while keeping a water concentration at 500 ppm or less in the reaction system.
