<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device for transmitting output rotation of a steering auxiliary electric motor to a steering mechanism through a small gear and a large gear meshed with the small gear whereby the small gear can be elastically energized to the large gear side, the device can be miniaturized, and durability can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: A first supporting hole 28 of a gear housing 8 supports a first support shaft 23 of a worm shaft to deviate on a worm wheel side through a first bearing 26 and an energizing member 33. The energizing member 33 includes an ended annular main body part 47 fitted to an outer ring 36 of the first bearing 26, rotation regulating parts 50 and 51 provided on both ends of the main body part 47, and a cantilever-shaped first elastic tongue piece 52 extending only from the rotation regulating part 50. The first elastic tongue piece 52 is received by a bottom 44a of a second recessed part 44 of the first supporting hole 28, and is bent, and energizing force is generated, and the worm shaft is energized to the worm wheel side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
