The invention relates to a method for the marker-based projection of virtual objects into a pre-determined plane, especially for augmented reality applications. According to said method, the objects are defined by a single marker (M) in terms of the position and/or perspectives thereof, and by symbols (S, L) associated with said marker (M) in terms of the type and/or form thereof. The marker (M) and the symbols (S, L) are evaluated by image recording and processing means.
