PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact imaging apparatus easily manufactured, while securing high optical performance and low cost in a zoom lens system. SOLUTION: The zoom lens system TL comprises three components, that is, a 1st lens group Gr1 having negative power, a 2nd lens group Gr2 having positive power and a 3rd lens group Gr3 comprising one single lens having positive power, in this order starting from the object side, and includes one or more plastic lenses in each of the lens groups and includes one or more glass lenses in the total system.
