PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper delivery mechanism of a printer that unerringly prevents a recording paper piece discharged through a paper delivery roller after being cut from getting pulled into the printer again by the paper delivery roller. SOLUTION: A paper feed roller 62 is arranged on the upstream of a printing position 83 and a recording paper cutting mechanism 67 and a delivery roller 65 are arranged on the downstream in the horizontal recording paper transfer route of the printer. A pressing roller 66 is pressed with the delivery roller 65 from above, and a nonreturn lever 80 is coaxially rotatably attached to the pressing roller 66. since the center of gravity of the nonreturn lever 80 is located in the downstream side of a rotation center axis 66e, the lever butts against the top face of a recording paper 10 discharged. Even if a cut piece 100 of the recording paper is drawn in together with the recording paper 10 in a state of overlapping at the leading edge of the recording paper when the recording paper 10 is drawn in, the piece hits against the nonreturn lever 80 and is prevented from getting drawn into the printer.
