PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply perform a thrusting and removing operation of a fishing hook on a fish, in such a state that the fishing hook is firmly held and fastened. SOLUTION: A fish hook detaching tool is equipped with a handle part 3, a trigger part 4, and an operation arm part 6, wherein the handle part 3 is formed by positioning an operation rod 2 thereon and projecting the rod therefrom to the front, the trigger part 4 is slidably passed through by the operation rod part 2 and is compressive to a handle part 3 side by resisting expansive elastic force of a spring 5 which is windingly positioned on the operation rod part 2, and the operation arm part 6 has a bottom end part fastened to the trigger part 4 and a hook part 12 so formed as to hook a fishing hook P, by passing a tip end part thereof through the inside of the operation rod part 2, projecting the tip end part to the outside, and returning this part backward. Thus, the fishing hook P is nipped and held between a tip part of the operation rod part 2 and the returned part of the hook part 12, by performing a withdrawing operation of the trigger part 4, so as to withdraw and move the returned and bent part of the hook part 12 to a position of an opening of the tip part of the operation rod part 2, and therefore the fishing hook P is detached by rotating the hook part 12 together with the operation rod part 2.
