ANISOTROPIC LIGHT TRANSMITTING FILM AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anisotropic light transmitting film which has high productivity and can be easily manufactured even when the film has a large area and has thick film thickness. SOLUTION: The anisotropic light transmitting film 10 has a structure in which needle-like or columnar ferromagnetic particles 2 are scattered into resin 4 while being orientated in a fixed direction. The light transmittance of the ferromagnetic particles of the anisotropic light transmitting film in the orientation direction is higher than that in the other directions and the light transmittance has anisotropy. Since the anisotropic light transmitting film 10 can be manufactured only by scattering the ferromagnetic particles orientated in the fixed direction of magnetic field orientation into a material having light penetrability, high productivity can be obtained.
