METHOD FOR ESTIMATING FUNCTIONAL CLASS OF PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC CARDIAC INSUFFICIENCY

The method for estimating the functional class of the patients with the chronic cardiac insufficiency comprises the assessment of the subjective and objective criteria. The following objective criteria are assessed: the cardiac index, the saturation of the arterial blood with oxygen and the index of oxygen flow. The index of oxygen flow within the range of 580-600 ml/min m2 corresponds to class I of the chronic cardiac insufficiency, 490-580 ml/min m2 û class II, and 330-490 ml/min m2 û class III. The index of oxygen flow below 330 ml/min m2 suggests class IV of the chronic cardiac insufficiency.
