PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making a foamed material with a three-dimensional protrusive pattern by utilizing thermoplastic elastic matter which enables the mass production of a foamed material sheet with an antislip effect. SOLUTION: A foamed material sheet 21 is manufactured by utilizing a thermoplastic elastic matter pellet. A high-temperature-resistant net fabric 40 with a mesh of a predetermined size is fixed by being stuck on at least one surface of the sheet 21, heated by a heating device, and softened to a degree to which the sheet 21 is plasticized. The sheet 21 is pressurized by using at least one set of molds; and a plurality of small recessed grooves are uniformly provided in the surface of the mold for pressurizing one surface where the sheet 21 is covered with the fabric 40. A part 22 subject to slightly high pressure in the foamed material which has already been plasticized in a heating step moves to a part 23 subject to slightly lower pressure, and penetrates the meshes; and the uniform and three-dimensional protrusive pattern 90 can be formed in a position corresponding to each mesh of the surface of the sheet 21.
