VIRAL HEPATITIS-TREATING AGENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a totally new viral hepatitis-treating agent based on a finding of elucidating the presence of viral hepatitis-treating effect regarding the cultured material and/or bacterial cells of Bifidobacterium longum which is a kind of bacillus bifidus.

SOLUTION: This viral hepatitis-treating agent contains the cultured material and/or bacterial cells of Bifidobacterium longum which is an anaerobic bacterium as an active ingredient. In particular, the type B chronic hepatitis and type C chronic hepatitis-treating agent contains cultured stock solution, culturing supernatant liquid and/or cultured bacterial cells obtained by culturing the Bifidobacterium longum by using a medium containing corn starch as a gelling agent, as an active ingredient.
