PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source connection adapter which properly adjusts the brightness of illumination light emitted to a subject even when an endoscope and a light source apparatus produced by different manufacturing companies are used combined. SOLUTION: A rod support member 32 supporting a light guide connector rod 14 is provided movably in an axial direction with respect to an adapter cylinder 31, and the rod support member 32 is moved in the axial direction together with the light guide connector rod 14 to thereby move the incident end face of an illumination light guide 15 in the axial direction in a connector receiving hole 23, so that the quantity of incident light on the light guide 15 from a light source 21 is changed.
