The torsional vibration absorbing device is equipped with an input transmission element (36) joined to an output transmission element (53) with an absorbing element (79) provided with a gyrating mass (51). The element used as a gyrating mass (51) is punched out of a rolled steel sheet and provided with a finished upper surface without any additional processing. It can be shaped during the process of punching and provided with grooves or other depressions.
