This invention relates to sulphur vulcanizable elastomer latex insulated textile fabrics and method of making the same. Sulphur vulcanizable elastomer in latex form is used as the insulating material and is either sprayed onto the textile fabric or the textile fabric is uniformly dipped in the latex. The textile fabric incorporated with the vulcanizable elastomeric latex by spraying or dipping is then subject to drying and the insulation of the textile fabric is achieved. The insulated textile fabric may be subsequently encased in a suitable fabric to avoid direct skin contact and may be made into apparels.
