The absorber has a boot (11) fixed at its lower end (17) to a piston receiving unit and at its upper end (18) to a receiving unit for a cap of the absorber. The end (17) is turned towards a piston and the end (18) is turned towards the cap. The ends (17, 18) are formed and/or inclined at an angle alpha or beta with respect to a central axis (16) to stress cords of the boot, uniformly.
