PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make smaller a frame area other than a display area of a liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel, a plurality of tape carrier packages which are provided around the liquid crystal display panel and each mounted with a liquid crystal driving circuit outputting a signal line drive voltage to a signal line, and a drive circuit board which supplies a signal to the liquid crystal drive circuit. Each of the tape carrier packages has a semiconductor chip which has a plurality of input terminals and a plurality of output terminals and a film which is a film having an opening at its center part and provided with a plurality of output-side wires connected to the plurality of terminals of the liquid crystal display panel and a plurality of input-side wires connected to the drive circuit board, and is arranged on the film so that peripheral parts of the semiconductor chip at least on the liquid crystal display panel side and drive circuit board side overlap with a peripheral part of the opening of the film and also arranged in an area where at least part of oblique wire parts of the output-side wires overlap with the peripheral part of the semiconductor chip and the peripheral part of the opening of the film.
