IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device improved in reliability and display quality by suppressing occurrence of discharge; and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This image display device includes: an envelope having a first board and a second board disposed oppositely to the first board with a space; and a plurality of pixels formed in the envelope. A plurality of spacers 30a and 30b for supporting an atmospheric pressure load acting on the first and second boards are installed between the first board and the second board in the envelope. Unevenness 50 where Ra is 0.2-0.6μm and Sm is 0.02-0.3 mm is formed throughout all the surfaces of the spacers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
