PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material excellent in storage stability while having high sensitivity and low fog, and excellent also in storage stability of a silver image after heat development, and to provide a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material containing light-insensitive silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid particles, light-sensitive silver halide grains, a reducing agent capable of reducing silver ions of the silver salt of aliphatic carboxylic acid particles when activated by heat, binders and a crosslinking agent for the binders, at least one of the binders is a polymer soluble in both water and an organic solvent, and the light-sensitive silver halide grains are silver halide grains whose surface sensitivity lowers from that before heat development by conversion from a surface latent image type to an internal latent image type in a heat developing process.
