An actuator sensor interface network unit has a power supply network interface (3) supplying power to the master (M) and slaves (S1 ,2) over the two wire bus (4, 5) and minimising communication failure rate by compensating the complex parts of their impedances using an adjustable two pole series circuit and failure rate measurements at its connection point.
